April 2, 2024 - I started drinking this is 2012 and my last note in it was 2018 (I bought 30 bottles on release and I’m finally down to my last 6 pack!). Just getting better and better. Gorgeous colour and nose. Dictionary definition Barolo and still drinking quite young - a long decent helps

December 15, 2022 - This is in a great place right now; right after the bottle is opened it will play like a solid '06 entry. Enjoy that some - then watch out. The nose literally comes alive 90-120 mins later (without decanting); palate right there with it; this is thriving at a full notch-level above its peers - wow have some 50/5/15/17/8

November 25, 2022 - Nose of mushrooms, rose petals, cherry and fresh clean dusty earth. Palate is aggressive fine grained, round tannins, high acidity and a long herbal cherry profile.

January 7, 2022 - Nose: I was told this had seen about ~5 hours of decanting before I got to it. The nose was open and fragrant, filling the glass with Red cherries, strawberries, sour red fruits, licorice, spice, tobacco, earth, black truffles, and rose petals.
Taste: The feel is Medium/full bodied with crisp, high acidity and silky, high tannins. The tannins still show some youth, but they have pulled back a bit. The feel is refined and elegant with gorgeous tones of red cherries, strawberries, sour red fruits, licorice, tobacco notes, earth, and black truffles.
Overall: This shows off a bit of primary qualities still, but it is absolutely in a gorgeous zone for drinking. Yes, there are still primary fruits here, but it has also hit into that aromatic upper register with an elegant savoriness that is delightful. There are plenty of years ahead of it, though it can easily be drunk now with a bit of air. -

August 16, 2021 - Forgot I had one of these in the spring... should have checked my tasting notes. Super tannic at the moment, probably best to ignore these for another couple years based on this showing.
