After a two-hour decant, big, bold blackberry, and blueberry with some heat that eventually blew off. Big fruit on the palate with some vanilla sweetness and a lush, smooth, but almost syrupy mouthfeel and finish. Just a little too much for me.

December 9, 2011 - More complex than the price point deserves. Restrained gamey nuances at first sip, followed by ripe, juicy raspberries. Oak sneaks into the picture over time, and it's well integrated into the package. Nutmeg and thyme, with a slight hint of eucalyptus and some refreshing minty notes.

September 28, 2010 - Smooth, round blackberry fruit with soft, slightly sweet vanillin flavors, not as juicy as the Tensley Colson Cyn, good quaffing wine
