December 22, 2009 - Superb dessert wine, a 375ml off the list at Seasonal. It has the deep wild and wacky fruit of the dry rendition but the sweetness of the auslese really puts the whole thing in boldface. This is thick, treacly stuff but still racy and defined - it has just the right bite of the sour or bitter to balance out the sweetness, the result simultaneously sumptuous and crunchy, practically buzzing on the palate.
