February 11, 2024 - Very mellow and smooth. Not a BIG wine but not meek, we had it along with a Carlisle Syrah and the Turley showed much bolder in comparision. Pretty tight on opening but mellowed out over time. Drank over 6 hours and was smoother as we went

November 28, 2023 - Long decant. Still vibrant , no tannin present. Held up to NY Strip nicely

March 20, 2023 - drinking beautifully. Everything now is refined and balanced. More sophisticated than powerful. Cherry fruit still clear and strong, lots of earth notes.

October 10, 2022 - Dark, rich, very enjoyable. Decanted for sediment - really opened up over the next 90 minutes. As good as this one will get IMHO.

May 1, 2022 - I didn't take notes at the time, but had this a few hours ago.

Pop and pour out of a Champagne glass (Tulip) on a friend's rooftop.

Great right out of the bottle but improved a bit (more so texturally) with some air. Mainly black cherry, perhaps a bit of chocolate. Huge concentration but still in balance. Full bodied. Fairly tannic, but the tannins were rather plush, especially with air. No heat.

Great with Apple Pan style burgers.

I'd probably score this around a 90 if I was taking notes at the time. Pretty great wine. Very good value.
