October 16, 2021 - (Disgorged in March 2019, base year 2009 with a perpetual reserve going back to 1969, 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay, dosage 8 gr/l)
Light yellow colour with a stream of very fine bubbles. Lovely nose showing biscuits, citrus, flint and some dried herbs in a pleasant way. Refreshing palate showing lime citrus acidity combined with yellow plums and opens up on the finish showing a vegetal note. With extra time in the glass it opens up with cream and It’s been a year since last time I tried this and it has gained from the extra post-disgorgement time and feels more integrated now, but still in a very fresh and lemon driven style.
(Probably best with 3-9 years of extra cellaring) -

February 12, 2021 - I assumed it would be oxidative á la Selosse since it is a solera. It isn’t. Unfortunately it isn’t much else either. While others picked up notes of vinegar or nuts, I found it rather neutral, deficient in the mid palate and short. Large bubbles, like soda pop, do not add to the appeal. On the positive side, it’s not too acidic and it’s mildly pleasant if you do not pay attention. An oublier.

August 1, 2011 - Giallo paglierino scarico, naso formaggioso all'inizio , poi fruttini bianchi con ritorni di mineralità, pietra focaia, non riesce però a pulirsi completamente, bocca cremosa, fresca e abb sapido ma poco persistente.
