Palate: bell pepper, oak, plum, fig
Tasted with: steak and potatoes
Overall: generic cabernet but good. No bricking or faded flavors. Consensus at my house: 90 points -

February 12, 2018 - If you have any of these hanging about... drink them! This one is still spicy, fruity and lovely. We (at the winery) tell our guests that the Allomi Cab is good for 3 to 5 years of aging. This one, at just over ten years, is fantastic. I scowered the winery looking for more of them today, alas, this is the only one I’ll get.

January 13, 2018 - Drinking in a bar with moderate expectations. Exceeded! This is the perfect date to drink this wine. Tannins are perfectly muted, but blackberry fruit is still jammy. A joy, particularly for the price.

December 4, 2016 - was not corked, but clearly something was wrong with the bottle. did not taste like a typical Allomi, and, as time went on, it started tasting bitter.
