March 17, 2024 - Day 1: Last time sampling this was 2011. Bought on auction. Good overall with boysenberries, soy, pepper, spices, minerals and tar. Medium plus finish and smooth wine. 92 points.
Day 2: Still life left in this one on day 2. Soy, black pepper, blueberries, boysenberries, spices and tar. Medium finish and still very good. 92 points
Recommendation: A fun auction purchase for around $40. Would not buy another one but good to see these can go 20 years.

December 8, 2023 - One of the most interesting older Aussie wines I've had. Decanted for sediment. Huge Nose - eucalyptus and dark fruit. Big, bold wine. Initially taste before airing had a flavor of "cough syrup" but after a couple hours of air that was gone. Super smooth. Very complex wine that kept changing over time. Lots of eucalyptus, mint, black cherry, chocolate, tobacco, vanilla, pepper. Honestly kept getting better. Had a few ounces left over the next day and it was still singing. Who would have ever guessed these wines would have aged so well. Drink now or continue to hold. Just Amazing.
