September 8, 2019 - I think it may have been a different bottling. Out of Mag with an etched label, different than Chateau Smith.
MAG Some hot brick palate. Maturing, but not too much. Lots of texture. Not too tight.

December 8, 2016 - Not an exceptional bottle, but surely a solid offering from Washington State. This is my first cab that I've tried from Chateau Smith and it really doesn't disappoint. But some of the high scores in the 90's makes me wonder what people are tasting. it is more than "one dimensional" as one taster observed, but I'm not getting multi-layers of complexity like a really good Napa cab. There is, though, a lot going on that pleases my palate, including a solid cabernet based flavor that lingers on the palate. Without getting too analytical, I'd really like to sample more from this winery, and I'm sure I will.

November 24, 2012 - Aroma: black cherry, mint Palate: some tannins, light, red fruit, some vegetal and earth flavors

October 28, 2012 - Flat, boring, one dimension. No fruit to speak of. Worked with steak. Wouldn't buy again, at least the 2008 vintage.
