  March 2, 2023 - Charleston Food & Wine Festival 2023; 3/2/2023-3/5/2023 (Charleston, SC (various locations)): Drinking quite nicely. This is still with a bit of the heft, darker and a bit brooding. Not completely expressive this evening - you can tell there is more to come with this wine - but drinking nicely. Paired well with a chicken thigh.

  November 4, 2021 - Chas Offlineorama VI, Another embarrassment of riches; 11/3/2021-11/7/2021 (Various locations): Very full Fourrier mouthfeel, Monster dark cherry with a little sweetness. Orange peel and lots of exotic spice. Fourrier really killed it in ‘01

  November 4, 2021 - Charleston VI; 11/3/2021-11/7/2021 (Charleston, SC (various locations)): This was much bigger than the other Pinots. Darker fruits. More sweetness. Some spice. It almost feels like a different animal than the other wines. Enjoyable though.

  September 5, 2020 - Pre 2005 Fourrier is a slightly different beast, and this doesn't have the exuberance I associate with the wines. It's darker and more structured without the spritz when opened. Much better than my previous bottle, this really needed some air to come together, but actually shows more earth and secondary notes than is typical for Fourrier. Darker and deeper and with a bit more tannin; unusual, but with enough time, pretty good.
