October 22, 2023 - Amazingly this still had aromas of fig and black cherry along with pan grille and garrique/ wild herbs (thyme and celery). Medium bodied with a silky mouthfeel. There is a nuttiness from the oak influence that arrives over time and delightfully smooth fish. An amazing CA pinot at 23 years old.

June 5, 2014 - dark red, in the color. blueberry, cherry, blackberry, plum, cinnamon, root beer, cola, smoke, on the nose. complex finish. medium acid.

November 1, 2013 - Did not decant- it needed about thirty min in glass to open. The fruit for the most part is gone which leads to noticeable heat on the finish. This wasn't a bad wine but was past its prime. I would drink soon.

August 31, 2013 - Deep red purple; nose of red raspberry and menthol; alcohol a little clumsy and detracting on palate but spicy tannins and concentration of fruit win out eventually
