May 14, 2020 - Fairly mature looking garnet red.
Black fruit with liquorice and tobacco on the nose; something very floral comes through with aeration - oh, hang on, it's violet creams!
Open medicinal attack. Then lots of raw alcohol. On the palate, this has pretty much separated and fallen apart.
    Actually, not nice.

December 9, 2018 - Deep dark black fruits.
Mature palate. Not past it, but needs drinking up.

October 4, 2018 - Last of 9 bottles. At 11 years old now, the wine feels like the volume has been turned down. Faded fruit, verging into the red fruits from black. Remnants of the roasted herbs and charcoal that was so prominent back in 2010. Impressive age for a CdR. Past its prime for sure, but the enjoyment factor remains high.

February 18, 2018 - Mature, but not old garnet.
Very deep black fruit on the nose. Very, very deep fruit that needs time and aeration to really start to show at all. Some, anissed germolene, medicinal and minty notes initially, the more medicinal aromas fading with time.
Big, alcoholic attack. Lots of fruit; very intense, but there's quite a sour rather than sweet character to the fruit. Definitely feel the 14.5% alcohol on the palate
Powerful stuff. Less of the elegance of the last bottle. There seems to be a fair bit of bottle variation in this case.

July 21, 2017 - In a great place right now. Screams Southern Rhone with Kirsch, roasted herbs, charcoal and bright red fruits on the periphery. It would put many a Chateauneuf du Pape to shame, especially from the 2007 vintage. Impressive. I had 9 bottles originally, now only 1 left sadly.
