March 7, 2022 - I love the '07 Beaux Monts for its lilting, ethereal quality of orange, tart cherries, working in the higher register with bits of smoke, incense, almost iron-type minerals and juicy acidity. A very fine (perhaps more thin that other vintages) tannin pedigree here that shows the purity of this upslope vineyard. Going nowhere in a hurry but I would advise people that this is drinking well now but should certainly hold. 92.

February 17, 2022 - The wine is clear in color, with lifted fresh red berry aromas that turned dark after 2 hours. The mouth does not show any greeness of the vintage, the fruit was obviously picked perfectly ripe, displaying lots of elegance, decent power, and a stony persistent finish. There is a purity in this wine, an aetheral and stony power typical of Beaumonts, and very enjoyable. Best on its red fruit profile upon opening than its slightly darker brooding profile after 3 hours of air.

    December 2, 2021 - Last bottle. For a 2007 it was delicious.

August 6, 2020 - A little on the light side for this field, even for an '07. Never quite opened up as much as would have expected but still an elegant showing and no complaints.

November 23, 2019 - Floral with red fruits. After an hour opened up and plumped up nicely with darker fruit revealed

(Clavelier Bruno Vosne-Romanée Les Beaux Monts) This is also wide and interesting but the aromas have more depth. Wow! Complexity of fruit and herbs, good tannin and a lovely mix of flavours in the mid-palate. Super length too. A super wine.
