Community Tasting Notes 7

February 7, 2015 - Holding up well for a 7 year old generic wine. Limpid, colour fading to orange at the rim, nose evolved , clean ,redolent of those briary red berries. On the palate quite lively, earthy ,raspberry ,red currant, with a fair lick of tannin and cut of acidity which truncates the finish. Not substantial, but as a pointer to Grivots quality wines it bodes well perhaps ?.

June 6, 2014 - Developed nose with sweet strawberries, leather, spices and smokey minerals. On the palate soft and fresh, nicely developed, with sweet red berries, leather and wool. Well-balanced oak that adds no bitterness, only depth. Easy-drinking but not without complexity. Drink now.

    November 1, 2013 - Very good.

Surprisingly rich and luxurious. Good savoury pinot notes, nice length and balance.

    February 9, 2012 - initial impressions:

J- this is not very good
O- I know. maybe it needs some air.

it got a little better but not much

well, it turns out that not all red burgundy is good. decent balance but no real compelling flavors here.

December 11, 2011 - Tart cranberry nose. Unripe red berries and red plums on the palate. Lean and acidic. Little midpalate concentration. A thin 2008.
