  • ONEFIVE Likes this wine:

March 17, 2024 - Nose is rustic with some red fruit and raspberry preserves. There’s some spice and saucy qualities as well.
Med body, med acid, med tannin.
Nicely integrated and showing more fruit on the palate.
Tannin creeps up on the finish but overall this is pretty damn good.
Drink now and over the next 10 years.

January 29, 2024 - This has improved since my last note.
Showing more cassis and red and blue fruit on the nose.
Med- body, med acidity, med+ tannin.
It is drinking great and still quite youthful.
Try again in a couple more years.

August 19, 2023 - Lovely bottle. Berries, wood spice, burnished walnut. Drink up!

July 10, 2023 - Drink up, these are likely on a downslope based on 2 bottles opened recently

October 21, 2022 - 21 years old and it's simply wonderful. Creamy texture, soft tannins, live, but non-disturbing acidity. Everything is gentle here, fruits included. Nice, well balanced mix of red and black cherry, black berry, coffee, black chocolate ( nice!). Pretty long finish with spice ( soft of course), grippy tannins ( soft of course), red cherry.
How about smell? Soft of course, but with red cherry, black cherry, plum, licorice, vanilla ( lovely!), minerals, toffee (?)
Anyway this wine is very juicy, addictive, easy to drink, but the same time not boring at all!
20 minutes in decanter just to separate sediments.

(CHAT LARMANDE) #1; COLOR-really nice; NOSE-great classic Bordeaux, floral, lilacs, perfumed, hints of black cherry & cedar; TASTE-Wow!, I'm very impressed w/ this effort, very complete black cherry explosion, lots of black chocolate, and very firm, structured vanilla tannin flavors which is very nice, little heat but it's a baby, great structure & complexity of fruit, Classic Old World Style wine, reserved, classy, this is a STEAL, great w/ food; RP-92; GV-92
