October 22, 2011 - Deep ruby to the rim. The nose comprises strawberry, cherry, tar, licrorice, animal, leather with alcohol slightly protrusive. The palate has an inital attack of bright sweet fruit - plums even a suggestion of stone fruit, transitioning on the mid palate to darker fruits, some dried fruit but not excessively, leather, an undertow of meaty flavours, and finishing with licorice, vanilla, toast, minerals. Tannins are plentiful but fine. The alcohol is more contained on the palate (remarkably contained given the stated 14.5%), the finish is long. This is a superb Southern Rhone. I would love to try this in about 5 years.

October 1, 2010 - Dark ruby red colour. Delightful fruity smell which is unfortunately not translated into the taste. Peppery and fruits luring in the background. Enjoyable but not as good as it looked and smelt.
