December 22, 2021 - Beautiful wine. At age 11, it is still completely fresh. The color is pale like a new wine. Bright and acidic balancing quite a bit of sweetness for a Spätlese.

January 3, 2021 - Wonderful. Still light in color. Nice petrol nose. Like, pear and minerals. The palate is consistent with the nose. Searing acidity bass icing the obvious sugar but there is no sense this wine is cloying. This is a beauty with another decade ahead of it.

December 11, 2020 - This hasn’t changed much since my last bottle in 2011, this is somewhat sweet, perhaps a bit more relaxed but still with good cut and grip. Bright acidity, lime and stones. Is nowhere near maturity.

October 23, 2020 - Secondary petrol notes at the fore. Rich mouthfeel balanced with good acidity. Fruit of lime and tropical pineapples and ripe pears starting to fade. Long finish. Great QPR.

September 5, 2014 - Pale golden color. Nose of ripe pears, petrol and hints of saline minerality. Palate with decent weight, starting with candied lemon and ripe pineapple. Mid palate changes to quince notes shortly before finishing with ripe pear and some stone fruit notes on a bed of mineral laden, fresh acidity.

While one could say it's not the most complex wine, sometimes, you just want a wine that reminds you why drinking wine is fun and enjoyable. At ~$20, good QPR. Those holding on to this for another 5 years should be rewarded once secondary notes start to fill in.
