March 15, 2023 - Lovely stuff. Dark garnet color with great nose of fresh red fruits. The 14% alcohol and the abundant acid give it a nice zip but not a zotz. Notes of spice, sarsaparilla and classic central coast dark fruits. Delicious. Could go 3-4 more years but ready now.

May 18, 2020 - Drinking very well right now and have a few more years. Everything is in balance with just the right amount of youth balancing a maturation - I.e no acne or other adolescent embarrassments. Delicious and for ~$36, a great qpr.

January 21, 2018 - Soft fruit, slightly earthy. Nice spice

April 22, 2017 - No notes, but the wine is drinking great. I enjoyed the wine more this time than last couple of bottles.

December 21, 2016 - Light red in color. 14% ABV. Pretty nose of red fruits, cloves, earth and mushrooms. Light to medium body with acidity in spades. Elegant and lithe on the palate. Flavors of black cherry, strawberry, sassafras and spice. The finish is splendid. Holding up really well for an 8 year old appellation wine from an underwhelming vintage. Drink over the next 1-2 years.
