  December 31, 2022 - Purchased for $16. Well, the bottle is Black and so is the wine. Dark ruby, almost opaque in color. At first impression, this was overly sweet. After about 20mins, this really came into itself. And man, am I glad I didn't judge the book by it's cover. Delicious notes of black fruits, boysenberry, blackberry and plum. Sweet vanilla and spice with hints of violet or lavender. Incredibly long finish. This is remarkable for $16. Might be the best "ruby reserve" I've had.

  May 15, 2022 - Drank over several days, the last paired with beef and vegetable stew. Excellent pairing! Very good acid and structure. Rock solid, pun intended.

  October 27, 2021 - BTG at Fleming’s in Austin with dessert. Displays a medium ruby color, seems to be positioned between a ruby port and a NV LBV. Good flavors but not terribly complex nor interesting. Pretty basic.

  September 5, 2021 - Bought this to pair with a chocolate dessert since this is supposed to be made for that combination. Didn’t work very well. Was very disappointed. Alcoholic, lacking complexity. Never again for me.
