January 31, 2010 - S$70. Not decanted, drunk over 1 hr. This wine was drunk after the disappointing 04 Desaunay Gevrey. It was far far better in every way. There wasn't any vintage on it, but the website says that that bottle was 2004. Good oak, good fruit with reasonable length. However, I wouldn't stock up on this for 2 big reasons. 1) I do not think that this is worth $70. In fact, unless it was half the price, I can think of many other wines to buy which are cheaper and better than this. 2) The bottle is very tall. While this is very aesthetically pleasing, it is very difficult to store in my wine fridge.
I have not really gone very deep into Italians at this point but this was a good experience for me with a wine that is not too expensive. This is not a bad wine by any means, and I am very glad to have tried it.
