January 21, 2024 - BWC 23 - Lignier Clos de la Roche: Completely and totally dead - premoxed to the point of resembling apple cider more than wine. If I sound annoyed it's because this wine was expensive. Lesson learned on Niellon from this era.

December 30, 2023 - Deep golden. Perfectly matured Chevalier. Maintaining some acidity. Great integration of all elements. Ripe yellow fruit

November 14, 2021 - Surprisingly golden in the glass, this is an excellent wine. Notes of apple, citrus peel, and lemon dominate with clean minerality and grapefruit on the finish. It is firmly in its drinking window but has a long life ahead of it. This is serious grown up drink, but I feel it needs to be drunk with food to show it at its best.

July 21, 2021 - Heidi's Redux: A Night to Remember (St. Genevieve, Mpls, MN): Medium dark gold color. Drank a glass over an hour. Advanced, buttery, creamy, lemon, citrus peel, oak and spice, Not at the level of a recent bottle that was head turning. Still good.

February 14, 2021 - It is with sadness that I "Drink or Remove" this bottle.
And yet, in its absolute prime. What a gorgeous, viscously rich, yet minerally sublime Chevalier.
