September 18, 2020 - At peak. Showing age and some brick color, but strong fruit. Buy more Littorai! Ages like a Burgundy.

April 23, 2020 - PnP. Medium red. Intense nose of red fruits - cherry, red apple, plum. Excellent flavors on the palate with red fruit and spice - long finish - and little in the way of tannins left. Seems to have resolved the clumsiness I found in earlier bottles although a bit less crystalline than some of the other Littorai SVDs. Excellent showing.

February 2, 2020 - My last bottle consumed over two days. Still a little closed on the first day, but really opened on day two. Despite its age, there is still plenty of fruit in this balanced wine. I stand by my previous tasting note: red berry aromas with flavors of fresh plum, caramel, and red raspberry with a medium finish. No heavy smoke on this one, considering it is from a smokey year and despite my sensitivity to smoke taint. In a prime spot right now, could be good for a couple more years.

July 21, 2019 - Consumed over two days, red berry aromas with flavors of fresh plum, carmel, and red raspberry, very balanced with a medium finish. No smoke on this one, considering it is from a smokey year. Just reaching it prime spot, good for a couple more years.

December 22, 2017 - Deeper fruit color, dried strawberry, developed nicely in the glass short finish. Needed decanting time.
