June 2, 2018 - 1978 Vintage Wine Dinner At Marc's in MD (DC/Silver Spring MD): Just a fantastic bottle of mature champers. Strangely short cork. Shortest champagne cork I've ever seen. Lower pressure on opening, but did have some nice little bubbles, very vinous. Strong brown apple, brown sugar, light earthiness, great yellow middle fruit with a light bitterness. This gained complexity and power as it sat over 5-6 hrs. Brilliant, complex and powerful. Drink now, but will hold.
