Community Tasting Notes 2

February 9, 2019 - Continuing to drink extraordinarily well, with a lingering core of red cherry fruit that supports a wealth of bottle aged elements. Wild herbs, leather, red meat, and a touch of lifted acidity blend together and create a cohesive expression of aged Rhone varieties in California. It’s classic, varietal character, supplemented by California warmth. Drink now and smile.

March 15, 2017 - Gentle, wild and changing with every sip, this bottle of '93 Côtes Sauvages lives up to its name. Worn leather, dried cherries, herbs baking under a blistering sun on a dusty trail, all live in the same glass. It's a quiet scene, nothing shouts. It swirls and changes, one minute the leathery fruit in the front, the next herbs and earthy tones. Don't look for power, but rather subtlety and grace. Drink now and soon to get the full picture.
