December 12, 2019 - This bottle has aged well, with a complex, spicy nose that has red and black fruit, earth, violets, menthol, chocolate and slight oak influence still present. I like the palate, where the fruit and power are balanced by the medium acidity and the fine tannins on the finish. This is drinking very well and more youthful than I expected. Impressive.

October 26, 2018 - Grands Echezeaux: Served blind. Ooh la la, this is softer and sexier than the first two wines. Flowers, black cherry, and a hint of soap. The aroma here is equal to a fine vintage of DRC GE, it's exceptional. I guessed 2000 vintage, this is in very fine shape indeed.
