Community Tasting Notes 3

June 11, 2023 - Part of all grand cru Burgundy tasting at Bymark. Pale garnet with tawny edges. The nose took about 10 -15 minutes to blow of some musty notes and then showed beautiful light red fruit and earthy notes. Palate showed the same flavours, silky smooth, balanced and long finish. No tannins to speak of. Still so alive and enjoyable.

October 24, 2020 - I was not sure what to expect. The level was down about 3 cm so some apprehension. But the wine showed beautifully. Forward mid-red fruit, cherry and strawberry, with caramel, sandalwood nose with just a touch of earthy barnyard, just a touch. Very pure. The palate was very clean, focused with virtually no tannins left, yet the wine held together very well with great balanced, still good intensity of flavour and long finish. Very, very enjoyable.

September 7, 2012 - Remoissenet Clos Vougeot Vertical (Beaune): Tasted in Beaune at Remoissenet Cellars
Still holding its colour brilliantly, lovely sandalwood nose, palate is astonishingly ripe and succulent, tannins are a touch dusty but not a problem. Remoissenet 67's are consistently good and this is no exception.
