August 19, 1990 - Tasting at Rosenblum in Alameda. was the best zinfandel tasted, with a rich, fruity nose followed by sweet, ripe fruit elegantly combined with soft tannins, needs 3 years in the cellar to peak, but most zinfandel lovers will drink it immediately. This was the first reserve zinfandel since the 1984 and it was a barrel sample.
