Community Tasting Notes 1

November 20, 2011 - Surprisingly alive and fresh, as I had no expectations whatsoever for this. It doesn't have that exuberant floral/spicy aromatic profile of young Condrieu; instead the florality's rather restrained and mingled with developed savoury flavours around mature peachy fruit. There's remarkable acidity for a Viognier and a 15 year old example at that; quite pleasant and certainly performing well above expectations.
