April 11, 2013 - Older Champagnes (Domaine Wine Storage - Chicago, IL): A really fascinating bottle of champagne. It had aromas of hazelnut, almonds, pear, and apple. A touch sherry, but still plenty of chardonnay character. The body of the wine was lively and fresh. Nice pear and almond notes, some truffle and herb. Acidity was still clinging on too...but certainly on the downslope. Loved this wine.
