October 8, 2022 - A 30 years old wine - and still so fresh and smooth in texture - we are impressed. A fresh nose and a palette that gives you raspberries, cherries and forrest strawberries. We are getting medium tannins (silky) and medium + acidity - both are well integrated that gives the wine a great balance. We are also getting leather, earthiness, a hint of green pepper and other spices. The wine is drinking very well - being 30 years old - we think 94 is fair rating for this great wine.

October 19, 2016 - Rousseau '92 and '94 Dinner (Scottsdale, AZ): Rich and racy compared to Clos St Jacques. Slighly medicinal finish, got better with air. A very "gulpable" style of wine, crowd pleasing.

January 18, 2014 - BWC 2014 - The Grand Crus of Chambertin: Confusing to me at first because it felt so much more savage than the other wines, more raw. But apparently that is the thing with Mazi - it is raw and savage. The clarity with which this wine expressed a sense of place is impressive. The wine feels harmonious and very deep in its impact. Pungent, delicious, and articulate.
