  February 3, 1991 - With K and Miranda at home at dinner (pasta del sol). Deep straw color. Vanillin, oaky, coconut, toast, lemon. Seems tight. On the palate, it is very oaky, tart. Not much depth of fruit. Drinkable, but not at all impressive. 5-9-12-5: 81/100.

  February 5, 1990 - With K at home at dinner (pasta del sol). Deep yellow-gold. Buttery, vanilla aroma is big, bold, brassy. On the palate, the wine is fat, flabby and ponderous. Somewhat buttery, rich. Seriously out of balance, though. 5-11-13-6: 85/100.

  December 12, 1988 - With MPL and BLR at the LWB. Golden yellow. Ripe banana in the nose. Very buttery on the palate. Velvety. Well-balanced. Very long, lingering finish. Big wine. 5-10-17-7: 89/100.
