May 15, 2021 - Hedonism and Refinement at 60!; 5/14/2021-5/15/2021 (Joe and Kyla's Bar and Grill): PNP. Soaked cork. My 2nd WOTN, this wine had a garnet bowl and clear meniscus. Ethereal nose! Balanced and elegant! Dark cherry, earth / loam, nutmeg and clove. Faded at 45' to tea and cola notes.

May 15, 2021 - Lyon 2021 Birthday Bash; 5/14/2021-5/15/2021 (Bear Creek Woodward/Lyon Den): What an incredible surprise. The 'token burgundy' on a night of 1961 gems. Raspberry freshness and clove, with persistent structure and a deep garnet color. I just couldn't believe it. Written note - "wow, what a treat!" I feel so fortunate this bottle was in amazing shape. Aged burgundy - who knew?!

May 5, 2012 - Opened 4 hours prior to drinking. Really impressive. Deep complex nose of wet earth, dark fruit with some spice. Broad, creamy on the palate with dense blue fruit. Surprisingly youthful. There was a "rubbery" quality to the finish that went away over time, but took a little bit away from the wine. Overall, really impressive.
