    December 8, 2023 - DnP
Beautiful brick coloured, orange tinged, 4.5
Mature bouquet ala Medoc, pencil, cedar
Harmonious palate, l+T, mA, m-B, dry, some fruit is still kicking, elegant finish.
Drink now-onwards but it’s on the way down

October 28, 2023 - Tasted blind after a few hours slow-ox. Red berry fruit, nuanced aging notes of tobacco, sous-boi, smoke, and a nice mineral layer. The structure has thinned out a bit, losing balance. In all, this has aged gracefully and offers fantastic, Pinot-esque drinking pleasure even if with a somewhat narrow aroma profile.

March 20, 2020 - Opened and left to rest. Felt fragile so we chose not to decant.
We need to caveat here that one ( like us) needs to like evolved and matured classics for this to resonate with them. But if you are in this category this is a joy all the way. Soft and silky, well evolved, leather, forest floor, earthy and with soft spice. Round and very well behaved on the palate and a joy. 93

November 23, 2018 - During a dinner with the wine maker. Figeac showed well tonight, both the 2005 and 2009 were fabulous. A surprize guest from Magnum was this bottle. Light in the glass, very Burgundian with whole cluster notes. Could be an aged Dujac Clos St.Denis. In any case, I really liked the Burgundian experience this wine from a light vintage with borderline maturity brings. The winemaker mentioned, that after the rain during the harvest, most people picked but Figeac waited and was in the end rewarded with riper and less diluted fruit.
