April 21, 2024 - Great, mature Bordeaux. Red berries, cigar box, silky tannins. Similar expression as the previous bottles. Will keep this level for 3+ years.

February 3, 2024 - The cork came out in pieces but the fill was good.
It’s medium garnet in color with marked bricking showing its age.
The nose is unbelievable;intense, eucalyptus, cigar box, faint but insisting cassis and red berries. A true symphony of aromas.
Medium body, very soft silky, great intensity and balance of flavours throughout. Everything is ready and in harmony. Very soft endless harmonious length. Punching well above its weight. Excellent.

December 31, 2023 - Opened this bottle and started out with promise. Nice full flavor to go with the beef roast. As the evening progressed, sadly, I was totally underwhelmed. Not much fruit, not much structure, acidic and tannic. Went to add this review, and saw the folks that were waxing over the wine. Maybe I just don't get it, but for a 35 year old grand cru, not drinking well enough for me.
ADDED: saved 6 oz for the next day. Better, I'd give it a 90, but still the wine overall was a disappointment.

December 28, 2023 - This is very classic Bordeaux that is showing really youthful. Touch of green, fruits are really bright and out there, with just the right amount of tertiary development. Very correct stuff. Shocking that this is 89, looks no more than 15.

December 26, 2023 - Boxing day at Caroline's: Brought this as an extra to compare with the two bigger ‘89 guns and it showed very well again. Similar impressions to before, most youthful out of trio with a formidable structure.
