June 11, 2016 - Superb bottle here...so disagree with past posts about non-typical Syrah - this is the real deal. Tasted blind with a Syrah maestro winemaker - he pegged it as a new World syrah right away. We were both wow'd by the freshness and complexity of this bottle. Lots of life still, no need to rush consumption, but doubt it will develop much further.

January 25, 2016 - This is indeed not a typical Syrah, as it has 3% of Viognier fermented with 97% Syrah. Medium body. It offers flowers, dark berries and licorice with peppers. Surprisingly still very enjoyable.

July 20, 2014 - This was a totally bizarre bottle of wine. It tastes everything like pinot noir and nothing like syrah. After the second glass, I looked again at the bottle thinking I must have mis-read it, but confirmed that it in fact was labeled as a syrah. In any event, it was quite good with some complexity. However, we paired it with pizza, which probably wasn't the best, given that it's essentially a pinot noir. Bizarre.

June 7, 2014 - Nothing redeeming in this bottle. No reason to drink it. Murky dark fruit, little definition, little Syrah typicity. Celebrating Jennifer's PhD.

March 1, 2014 - RICH BLACK CHERRY AND RASPBERIIES IN THE NOSE AND FLAVOR. NICE COMPLEXITY AND A LONG FINISH.
