October 28, 2022 - dégorgée en novembre 2004 - very ripe as expected, yeasty with good amount of marmalade. More savory on the palate and definitely more punchy.

April 21, 2022 - dégorgée en novembre 2004 - the nose was so oxidized I loved it. So savory and mineral, very very much like Chinese salted plum. Good acidity on the palate despite how ripe this was. So rich. Very, very nice.

July 31, 2021 - dégorgée en novembre 2004 - good acidity but also with good ripeness, yeasty nose with some Chinese licorice, marmalade, savory minerals. After two hours the nose was sooo fragrant with Chinese salted plum.

April 22, 2021 - dégorgée en novembre 2004 - wonderful nose of aged tangerine peel, savory, mineral, and toasty notes. Beautiful to the end.

March 13, 2019 - The last of my 1996 vintages. I reviewed the notes of the other bottles and I’m surprised - the bottle last night was better than my prior notes. What stood out was the acidity - still there - unlike say the 96 Lanson or 96 Billecart. Dark yellow now, gunpowder flint on the nose when first opened. Lots of bubbles still. Brioche and nutty. Had with starters of creamy dips.
