April 8, 2016 - Concentrated ripe and full of vigor. Cola, green tree bark, earth and flowers follow trough to a big robust red berry fruit filled finish with acid in reserve and lingering dry ripe tannin. Clean and crisp and distinctively Chianti. Excellent.
Amazingly still holding up on day two with more of a black tea component to it. Still structured and interesting non the less.

November 9, 2013 - Joes tasting of four Italian wines and dinner. Second place. Nose of fig and plum with hints of dust, spice, and tobacco, more of the same on the palate, touch simple but delicious and fruity compared to the other three wines, medium body, and medium finish.

April 4, 1993 - Rim is tending towards red orange. Nose very intense Chianti. Deep color. Mouth follows. I didn't let this one get too old and dried-up. Very vigorous and delicious. Opens with time.

December 13, 1992 - Nose rich, cddary. Todd smelled bubblegum! Earthy. Flavors same, very mature and smooth; delicious mouthful.

January 4, 1992 - Slight orange rim; resiny mouth, sweet and cherry flavors
