March 9, 2002 - A bottle that has been with me for almost 15 years and that has survived many different cellars. A personal favourite from this elegant year. Lovely, mature colour; the nose is très 1981, medicinal, lovely fruit, oak and terroir, deep and fully mature; elegant weight, wonderful structure and extract, classic and stylish, juicy, ripe and long. Exemplary, delicious claret.
