February 16, 2019 - Started a little stewed but after 20mn really opened up and showed its true character. There’s always a Burgundian side to this cuvée but this vintage showed riper and darker than usual. Still absolutely delicious and complex. Loved it. Drink now.

September 2, 2017 - The '07 Valinière is totally singing at the moment, or rather feedbacking like Neil Young's Les Paul on Weld '91. Crazy energy and intensity, great freshness, no heat, everything in balance, long future ahead.

91 pts

January 22, 2016 - The '07 Valinière seems to be back in form again, after what might have been a slightly subdued phaze. High-toned lilacs with a hint of glue over dense black cherry-berry fruit. Slightly wild/nutty/animal. A lot of salty liquorice and a little tobacco. Packed with flavour, but not thick. High acidity, pronounced saltiness. Ripe tannins, no heat. Great showing, great with prime rib, great future ahead.

November 23, 2015 - in a nice shape now. A tad rustic, but in a likeable way. Drink over the next 3 years.
