November 9, 2021 - some typical high-toned, fragile, ethereal eiswein character. bright and sweet with a lively finish; a bit petroly. very savoury fruit, long and satisfying--better than the 76 Auslese Goldkapsel!

September 7, 2019 - From a virtually perfect bottle, this wine had a deep gold center and yellow rims. The high intensity nose was a "no miss" German nose that showed pear, petroleum jelly, honey, tea, and minerals.

In the mouth, this wine was refined with resolved, fine-grained acidity, excellent integration, and great length. It had a lovely juiciness in the mouth and flavors that lasted forever but in an ethereal way.

This was the real deal. It was not particularly sweet or super rich, just extremely balanced, complex, and tasty. Awesome!
