August 7, 2022 - Dark ruby. Sour cherry and leather on the nose. On the palate, a bit of generic-old-red-wine sour, but with nice cherry fruit and leather, silky mouthfeel, medium acid, no remaining tannin. Obviously over the bill but still an enjoyable surprise.

September 13, 1998 - Big ripe nose of cassis and oak. On the palate it is obvious that there is just way too much oak. It seemed to integrate a bit with air, however. Low acid, medium tannins. Short finish. Seemed a bit vegetal on the third day and perhaps a bit flabby. Good quaffer, good QPR.
