February 10, 2011 - The aroma is sweet and creamy, with butter and vanilla making a soft appearance. Blackberry and blackcurrant blend with coffee beans, with vanilla bean and light floral aromas opening up with a spin in the glass.

The palate is tender and spicy at once. There is a clear chocolate note from the very beginning, with woody tones showing through, combining with dried fruit, mixed spices, black pepper, and dried floral tones. This all comes together in an impressively reserved, but lasting finish that hints at dried rose petals and dried berries. This is a very elegant wine, with an Old World, almost somewhat earthy feel to it and tons of depth. A very impressive effort, easily worth trying.
