March 18, 2017 - Worried after reading some of the TNs. Pleasantly surprised! No doubt it's past its prime but this bottle has held up and was quite enjoyable.

September 23, 2015 - Deep dark reddish-purple in color; almost opaque. Full, forward & attractive nose of mature & developed, complex dark fruit aromas of cherries, cassis/currants & plums with earthy & cedar overtones, some floral notes, grilled herbs, spices, dusty, licorice & mint notes, minerals, dark cocoa, cola & a hint of vanilla in the background. Full bodied with a very good concentration of smooth textured, mature & developed, complex dark fruit flavors of cherries, blackberries & plums, herbs, mint, spices, cocoa, cola, minerals, a touch of vanilla. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present and although it may be at its peak of development, it may last for another year or two.

August 14, 2015 - Brick red. Decanted, drank over several hours. Tried it with burgers and it went through several different stages, but was just never very good at any of those times. Developed a caramel and brown sugar phase , then became more soy and savory. I probably would have liked this better when younger.

April 14, 2014 - SLip sliding away... It tasted, smelled tired. This bottle was past its peak. Could tell it was a very nice wine in its prime. Best right out of the bottle and fell apart with air.

February 22, 2014 - Like many 97 Cali Cabs, this one is fading away. Nice enough nose with sour cherry, tobacco, mint, cedar, and hints of plum. On the palate, bright cherry, tobacco, hints of cedar. Lacks precision on the finish. Drink them if you have them.
