June 21, 2011 - Researching this wine there were indications it was"getting old". So we uncorked expecting a somewhat flat wine. The three of us were very surprised. It was wonderfully smooth, with hints of cherry, a mild woodiness, and very drinkable right away. Actually, we three "light drinkers" finished off the bottle on a "school" night. Work in the morning.

February 3, 2011 - Aromas of cherry, and a little barnyard. Medium bodied wine with flavors of cassis, cherry, and a little spiced oak. ($15)

September 11, 2010 - Did not take full notes, but this is a very solid Merlot-based Bordeaux, especially for $12. Still in great shape.

June 11, 2010 - Where is the bloody heat/hot? It seems to be like when all those cheeky persons are earning bags of money talking about an unreal global warming....funny old wine writters. In any case, this particular bottle is perfectly ready at this point. Brown colour; red berries and pencil and cedar and cedar again (too much oaky for sure) on the nose. Meaty on the palate with a peppery but short aftertaste and a watery texture. Sweet tannins. A simple example of a Bordeaux wine but can not compare with other lovely even cheaper brands of Medoc.
