Community Tasting Notes 10

September 4, 2011 - The tannins were tart on the initial taste out of the bottle but they attenuated shortly thereafter and it was enjoyable without food for me. Worth the $$.

July 30, 2010 - Had higher hopes for based on Scott Paul's reputation. It is clear this is left over juice going into the basic level wine story here. These were the grapes that barely made it to ripeness. Very lean on the palette, not too fruity. Make sure you drink with food....even a dinner salad! Would not recommend to my friends at $35. So much better wine out there now.

June 13, 2010 - Really unpleasant to drink. Way to tart bordering on astringent. Drink at your own peril.

May 8, 2010 - 12.5% alcohol. What an excellent example of what you can achieve at the Bourgogne level. Light red cherry color, clear at the rim of the glass. Lovely nose packed with minerals, sour cherry, and a light touch of spice. In the mouth, linear and pure, with terrific red cherry fruit and plenty of minerality to go with the strong acidity. Solid finish. Terrific value. B+
