January 9, 2012 - Not sure what to think of this. Never had a wine like this before, somewhat odd, but not unpleasant. Cloudy light purple in the glass, probably unfiltered/unfined. Medium nose of strawberries and cherries, very fruit forward and acidic on the palate, not unlike a light beaujolais. Still getting some depth of flavor from the cabernet in the blend. Not bad, but not sure I'd buy again though.

November 25, 2009 - surprising range and depth for such an inexpensive wine. light-med body, nicely acidic, cranberry, cherry.

August 28, 2009 - Cherry, cranberry, pomegranite. Good acidity for food.

(Domaine de la Pépière Cuvée Granit Vin de Pays de Marches de Bretagne) Marc Ollivier is known as one of the top producers of Muscadet, particularly for his old-vine Clos de Briords, and is currently converting to organic production. The Cuvée Granit is a red blend of Cabernet, Côt, and Merlot. Relatively light in color, this rare red wine from the Muscadet region is pleasant and light, with fresh raspberry fruit and a hint of rosemary and green olives on the palate.
