Aged pink with an amber edge; fragrant mature black cherry, baking spice, some oak that follow on the palate, somewhat Burgundian, very good mouthfeel. Delicious. Sorry to see it go, but it's time. Stored horizontally in a cool, dark basement since purchase. My evaluation: For me, scores on a "100-point scale" are misleading. I use a 4-category scale (perhaps with +/-)--not including flawed--which runs outstanding/notable/drinkable/poor. This is notable+ when considering quality, age, and price.

  December 14, 2011 - Nice enough. More of a red fruit pinot with a fairly bright acidity. Not much nose.

  June 27, 2010 - Pleasant enough Pinot, but nothing special. Nothing fundamentally wrong with it and some nice cherry flavors, but not a lot of intensity. Not a bad summer wine
