October 3, 2011 - Founded in 1881, Bruichladdich Distillery (pronounced “Brew-ich-laddie”) means "The brae (hill) by the shore". Water sources : Bruichladdich loch, burn, and Octomore spring. All bottlings are 100% natural, non-chill-filtered, colouring-free.
Until the recent opening of Kilchoman, it was the only independent distillery on Isle of Islay.
Nose : honeyed, vanilla, rhubarbe, small yellow plums, notes of flowers and pepper.
Palate : round, smooth, waxy, floral.
Aged in ex-Bourbon casks. -
