May 23, 2021 - 30 minute decant, but better after an hour. Solid and overripe but not jammy or flabby black fruits in layers. Touches of Eucalyptus, dried herbs, vanilla Oak and minerals. 20+ second finish. Alcohol very well hidden.

May 2, 2021 - Popped and poured. Nose of blackberry, currant, mocha and spice. Black fruit, vanilla, spice and fine tannins on the palate. Finishes with good length. Full bodied. Served with reverse seared strip steaks and chimichurri sauce.

February 14, 2021 - We opened this one for Valentine's Day-it's been at least 5 years since I tried a 2007. Best after about 45 minutes in the glass. What a treat! Violet and dried flowers nose, excellent balance with plum and dried apricot flavors alongside rounded tannins. I'm happy we have one bottle left.

November 21, 2020 - A wine that has gotten better. 30 minute decant and needed 60. Initially Eucalyptus on the nose, but that mostly blew off within 20 minutes and became a subtle background element on nose and palate. Overripe blackberries with another layer of fresh black cherry and hints of red fruits. Touch of sweet vanilla Oak and Eucalyptus. Alcohol not on palate but its nearly 15% does get to your head in due course. 3/4 of Teaspoon of sediment.

November 9, 2019 - This wine has hit its potential. 30 minute decant. Very smooth and elegant, but with plenty of very ripe black fruits. Some vanilla Oak. Some hints of minerality and dried herbs.
