November 19, 2010 - We're heading to a friend's house who doesn't have any wine stored so we need to pick up something from the Supermarket. Sainsbury has the Penfolds BIN 389 which I really like but I want to try something new and we try their "house wine" from the more expensive "taste the difference" line:

March 5, 2010 - Supermarket Own-Label Taste-Off: Sainsbury's vs. Tesco (16 Berkeley Square): Very good, light oaking, nice warm peppery nose, good acid, nice bitter tannins (but not off-putting). Best with somewhat lighter food than for most Shiraz. Decent value as currently reduced to £5.32, perhaps not so worth it at £7.99 but not a bad effort.
