January 2, 2015 - I have a different impression than other reviewers here. This is hands down the best Carmenere that I have ever had, full fruity minty, bell peppery, eucalyptus nose and round supporting flavors with lots of body and heft but elegant; my fifth bottle in Jan 2015 was beautiful vibrant fresh nose and ripe melded flavors of tobacco, graham cracker and gingerbread spiciness with a tinge of bell pepper. Yummy and sophisticated for a Carmenere.

June 21, 2012 - Dark red. Cherry liquor chocolates and clove in the bouquet. Soft fruits and American oak as well as some sweetness on the palate. The tannin is soft and friendly. A commercially well made wine, but not extremely interesting.

November 11, 2011 - Fresh nose almost a little minty. Cherries and spice on the palate. Glad it was not too heavy. Not overly complex or long, but still very nice drinking.

March 16, 2011 - While I liked the 2007 version of this wine quite a bit, I found the 2008 lacking. The nose and palate were reminiscent of the 2007 but thinner. It also had a slightly bitter finish. I wouldn't buy this again.

(Viña von Siebenthal Carménère Reserva) A blend with 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. Dusty, dry leather aromas are combined with a note of tomato leaf. The palate offers sweet toffee; firm, smooth tannins; and lots of white pepper, gingerbread, raisin, and black cherry. Good length. MOVI Chile’s Movement of Independent Vintners
